Not everyone is blessed with voices of angels. Neither of us have the ability to sing these great songs, but the Lord gave us the ability to play them musically.
We hope and pray that everyone will enjoy our songs and rejoice with great feelings as we did when we recorded them.Band/artist history
Don Lacy and I (Don Carroll) started playing music together in 1958 at the age of 13. After high school we chose separate career paths. I spent 20 years as a saxophone player in US Navy Bands including 2 years at the Naval School of Music where I studied such things as theory, harmony, counterpoint, arranging, conducting, etc. Don Lacy chose Nashville where he worked for 10 years as drummer for the great Jack Greene and Jeanie Sealy and "The Jolly Giants". We re-connected back in our home town of Houston, Texas in 1992. Since then we have been performing locally and regionally. We built our own recording studio in 1993 and this gave us an opportunity to combine our love of playing music with our passion for orchestrating and arranging. These songs feature Saxophone and Orchestra playing old favorite hymns. All parts were performed by Don Lacy and myself (Don Carroll).Christian Songwriters - Houston
