Manuel is indeed a pretty cool track, definitely a unique feel to it. Reminiscent of marky and xrs, but different. It almost reminds of something you might hear on a video game soundtrack or something.
In my opnion the horns need to be filtered more or something. They kind of break up the nice flow of guitar and piano, but its not that bad. defintitely nice to see some experimentation vs the same-old-roller thing. keep it up mate!

Well you said it was world d n b and it certainly is !
It's got a nice vibe to it and the instruments work well especially that lead guitar riff.Neat drum track really tight sounding.Good work keep it up.

Oi Dom. thanks for stoppin back by! keep an eye on 'morning fog' [and all the new tracks] I've been doing some minor -and not so- tweaks and will eb updating them shortly. Mostly trying to get the final mix more consistent, evening out levels and such, but also some minor structural changes...

got a new song up called Sail on Summer.Check it out and feedback on it .It has a trancey feel which is a new curve for me .So Glad has got right into the skull now its a grower that gets under your skin in a good way.Keep hittin back......

btw So Glad is quite nice too matey! I think some minor restructuring and it could be great. The intro seems a bit long, really picks up at 2-3 minutes. maybe bring in the keys or pads a bit sooner... the vocal samp is nice! maybe you could bring it in a little bit sooner, or chop it up and put pieces in sooner... just a couple quick ideas. And the panning on the perc is nice during the intro and breakdown, but a little much during the tune. just my opinion. it may be hard to spin in headphones as well...
don't get me wrong i love the tune man! the sound is there, and it's solid. keep em comin. you are 110% right - music is a great emotional outlet.

Thanks alot for hittin me back david. I'm very sorry to hear about your Dad, hope your feelin better. I was just in a funk when I wrote my little post.
HST was the great author behind "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and many others. I've been reading alot about him since his suicide [though I've been a fan for years] and it still blows my mind. The biggest thing that bothered him today was the Bush administration and the total lack of an American counterculture. I really hope we can get one goin with drum & bass, because frankly, most popular music is sh***e now.
Anyways... yeah. I'm kinda tryin to shift more towards oldschool - souful - trancey and liquid funk flavors. Similar to labels like commercial suicide, hospital, GLO, camino blue, defunked, creative source, nu directions and such. I've still got 2 more similar tracks for the 'funk explorations ep' that i need to post after final mixdown. Then I will be taking some time to collect better samples and collab with a couple

SO GLAD,really neat panning on the drums across the intro , the pad could do with a bit of spread to create a bigger soundscape for little lead line to roam around in before the string hits.Nice vocal elements coming in around the 3.30 mark and its neat the way the piano pans apposing the drums coooool...

No Problem always listening out for good things by the way the track Resistance is pretty edgey i,ve downloaded that beasty to the ipod keep writing.
