DOLANN is coming! Equal parts Hip-Hop, R&B, Neo and Retro-soul. Writing and singing from the true-life experiences of being a sistah just trying to make it, DOLANN is a musical journey of desire, jealousy, pain, heartbreak, love and self reliance. Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It's just been me and T all this time. Working on songs in the studio from way back when I was some knucklehead little girl wantin' to sing and write songs. I learned alot and grew as he helped me get better, to now I feel like it's time to show what I can do. He's behind me, we are the team that's going all the way Platinum many times over, ya feel me?!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I did some things in LA, opening up shows for rappers (the N-Kroud Kliq) and singing with some of them. It's been fun on a lot of levels, but now it's time to step out from the shadows and do my own thing full time.
Your musical influences
My influences are all over the place, from Erica Badu, Jill Scott, Janet, Mariah, Whitney, Chante Moore the list could go on and on and on....
