DOEBOY PRODUCTIONS
Doeboy Productions began in January of 2003 in a small basement in Temple Hills, Md. The mission of Doeboy Productions is to bring the entertainment industry a new sound that incorporates Hip Hop, Reggae, Rap, Jazz, Oldies, Gospel, R&B, Rock, and last but not least, Go-Go. We plan to bring a twist to music in which people of all ages and cultures can enjoy, feel, and relate to.
Although we are based out of the Baltimore area we represent the whole metropolitan area, which consists of Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. We also bring artist from all over the country whose !--s vary and accommodate our musical !--.
Many of our musicians and producers have extraordinary musical talents. With backgrounds in large and small bands in the area they have also developed a network among other musicians, artist, producers, independent labels, and artist.
At Doeboy Productions we notice that there arent much musical recognition coming toward this area. With that in mind our music will also promote the unique urban !-- of this area which has yet to be done by introducing our local artist, leaders, spokespersons and communities to the entire world. We will also serve as a cornerstone in the area for local artist as well as national artist for elite productions and publishings.
About The Executives
Ricardo Givens, Dohboy, CEO & Chief Producer
Ricardo Givens is the founder of Doeboy Productions and has been in the music industry since the age of 10 yrs old. Inheriting the family talents at the age of five he began to learn to play the piano. With a few lessons from his grandmother and the radio, he was able to play almost anything he could hear.
Later at the age of ten he had become the head drummer at the Paramount Baptist Church, in S.E. Washington D.C. At the church he was able to met different musician in which some will become apart of his masterpiece.
In middle school he joined the band to play the drums and the flute although basketball plans interrupted his involvement with the band. Never losing his passion for music he later went to high school where he played in the numerous bands and choirs which led to him performing and competing in the Bahamas. In his free time he was the lead keyboard for New Image Band which later became Prime Suspect Band (PSB).
While playing with PSB, he performed in numerous clubs in the Metropolitan Area and met tons of local talent and people with the same passion. Performing alongside big-time Go-Go bands like Backyard, TCB, and Raw Image also encourage his motivation to be the best.
After four successful years with Prime Suspect, Givens was ready to take on a new crowd joining High Energy Band in the winter of 2002. High Energy brought a challenge to the young musician due to the age group of the crowd but he overcame the change like a true champion.
As the CEO of Doeboy Productions, he is the chief producer, as well as a songwriter. He keeps his hands on promotions, and publishings of Doeboy Productions.
Michael Cooke, Rock Mike, Co-Producer
Michael Cooke is the co-founder of Doeboy Productions. He began his music experience while growing up in a Pentecostal Church in Queens, New York. Later on his family relocated to Maryland, where at the age of 18 he began to play the bass guitar for Paramount Baptist Church in Washington D.C. There he met musicians who shared the same musical passion and ideas as himself.
Although coming from New York, Mike took a likening to Washingtons native music, Go-Go. He later became bass guitar/ keyboardist for Prime Suspect Band after meeting Givens at the church. In 2002, after the spilt of PSB he also joined High Energy Band as the bass and keyboard player. Michael experienced playing with a number of talented musicians while playing at different clubs in the Washington-Metropolitan area and was offered by many to join. He kept his loyalty and refused the offers but kept relationships with other musicians. He had the opportunity of playing in clubs with bands such as Changing Faces, Backyard Band, TCB and more.
While seeing the side of music that plays apart in the lives of young and the Older, he now is the co-producer of Doeboy Productions.
Producers
Seth Greene, SG, Producer
Seth is a 21 year old producer from District Heights, Maryland who has been making beats for almost a decade. He specializes in mainly rap, but he can do it all. He joined Doeboy Productions after meeting Givens at Morgan State University in 2005 and later they became roommates.
Logic, Producer
Logic is one of Doeboy Productions new producers from Richmond, Virginia. Similar to Kayne West, he is good with samples and old school grooves. He joined the organization in March of 2005 after hearing a mix CD that Givens and others were passing out. Word got around to him that Hipnotic was recruiting talent, he was then eager to join.
Kelsey, DJ Lean, Producer
Dj lean from pg county representing Leanin2daSide is up and coming working on his music. Aside from choppin & screwin everything he is heavily involved in production, continuing to develop his ear for music and put in work. His music consists of heavy bass, rolling high hats and soundtrack type melodies.
Artist
P da God, a.k.a. Powerful
Born in Brooklyn, New York to a large family with strong beliefs, Powerful became excited about politics, and knowledge itself. His family later moved to Suitland, Maryland where he and his brothers began their entrepreneurship building an organization named Up and Up fashions. Under UAU Powerful began to rap for certain promotional events such as cookouts, open mics, and bowling parties. He joined Hipnotic after becoming familiar with Givens at some of his events. Givens was feeling his !-- and asked him to join.

we performlive as well at open mics and charity concerts. its nerve wrecking at first but then u begin to luv it.
