Almost a reincarnation of great lyricists of the past, mixed with some present rhyme slayers, this Brownsville veteran brings his real life experiences to a speaker near you. Take a little bit of Beanie Sigel and Jadakiss, and mix it with a sprinkle of Kool G Rap and it gives you Doeboy. Fresh off an eight year bid, the "Baker boy" as he's affectionately known in most circles, tries to take the listener to the dark and dangerous places he's been throughout his life. Now don't get it confused and think that this Brownsville native is glorifying a life of crime and bids. He's doing just the opposite and at the same time, he is giving you the life that he has led and what he knows about. During his stretch away from the streets and his family, Doe inhaled every CD whether hot or whack, from Biggie's "Life after Death" and Nore's "N.O.R.E., to Jay-Z's "Black Album. His constant writing and classic album studying, has helped him make the transition from a fan of the art, to a serious business man in the making. Doeboy's streetsmarts have help pave the way for a successful start in the music business, that is usually slated for 4 or 5 year veterans. His current mixtape aptly titled "Get That Doe", was co-produced by the "Baker Boy" himself through his F-Mob production company. Although his blazing street single "Snitch Watch" has the streets buzzing and is garnering the same respect that the "Brownsville Bully" gets himself, it's songs like "Deeper" and "Get Crunk Mess", that showcases his versatility and broadens his fan base. Choosing to stay independent and financially stable, Doeboy and his C.S. Entertainment label, have earmarked the streets and are targeting a spring release for his full length LP.
