I specialize in mixing/blending songs and doin' remixes to them. I regularly make mixtapes (about 1 every month or so) and hand them out. So far my mixtapes consist of a mainly down south tx rap, and also I have a series called "Crusin'" which is old school classic R&B stuff. Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Been foolin' around teaching myself music for about 3 yrs. Got really interested in it since my dad has a production co and manages an artist. That's when I started hangin' out around studios and stuff.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
If I have my comp w/ me.
Your musical influences
Everybody, I grew up listenin to Earth Wind & Fire, Bob Marley, Gipsy Kings from my mom. I also grew up listenin' to UGK, Fat Pat, Geto Boyz, Too Short from my brother. I appreciate all styles of music and have a nice collection of mixes to show that.
What equipment do you use?
Acid Pro 4, Dell Computer.....Got a lot more music equipment, just waitin' on my new comp
Anything else?
Just give it a listen, and then go listen to some of the other "mixtape" dj's out there. I actually mix on my tracks and I hope goin' the extra mile instead of just putting a playlist together and calling it a mixtape pays off.
