DJ Soulstar

I produce mostly hip-hop but I like to experiment and sometimes my experimental music sounds more like alternative stuff. I do most of my beats on the MPC 1000 but I also use Reason 3.0 occasionally.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Timeline 1981-1996 Lived in Queensbridge NY 1995 - I started making blends and mixtapes on the Technics 1200's 1996-Present I lived in Baltimore, Maryland 1999 - I started spinning at parties while I attended Elizabethtown College 2000 - I went live on WWEC 88.3 FM with my mixshows 2005 - I began appearing at clubs around NYC with DJ Hot Day and the Dreamteam 2006 - I started making beats 2007 - I'm featured on Dreamteam Instrumentals the album Vol.3. It's a great honor to be on the same album as DJ Premier and Large Professor - I'm now a member of a Hip-Hop and R&B production team called the Marksmen.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I DJ live in clubs, bars, etc. Mainly in Baltimore, MD but I travel to NY occasionally for a gig.
