Sam Young is the one of the most sought after DJs on the London and international scene.
From Alexander McQueen to Justin Timberlake, Ja Rule to Missy Elliott, Sam now has one of the most enviable client lists in the business; he has played for some of the worlds most glamorous celebrities at various clubs around the world, including Madrid,St Tropez,Rome, Hong Kong and New York.
Sam is also resident at many of Londons hippest clubs, including Boujis,Umbaba and Kabaret Phrophecy. With an encyclopaedic record collection and the ability to mix a huge range of different music genres in one set, Sam keeps crowds guessing with an eclectic mix of tunes.
Brought up in Ladbroke Grove/Notting Hill, Sam was naturally influenced by his surroundings from a young age. The spirit of the carnival and the music of the street soon worked its magic on Sam and, from the age of 14, he began to collect old and contemporary records and in turn began to develop his skill on the decks.
Sam began playing at various friends and school parties, enabling him to develop his mixing skills: his big break, however came eight years ago when he met up with Jeanette Calliva, party planner for Woodhead Calliva, Jeanette was immediately impressed with Sam and asked him to play at her birthday party.
The rest as they say is history.
Sam was also responsible for signing KASABIAN to SonyBMG in 2002.Have you performed in front of an audience?I dj around 5-6 gigs a week, no live gigs at the moment with any of the acts Im working with !

I grew up on a mix of music so I'd have to say artists like Prince,Stevie Wonder,Michael Jackson,Jodeci,Nirvana,Guns + Roses,Nice and Smooth,Bobby Brown,Issac Hayes,Curtis Mayfield,Rolling Stones,REM,Boyz 2 Men,Teddy Riley,The Neptunes,Dr Dre,NWA,Snoop Dogg,Geto Boys,Quincy Jones,Miles Davis...I could go on and on !What equipment do you use?
