What's up... My The names DJ Proficient, im 17 an hail from Charlotte NC. Ive been Producing Hip Hop for about a year. I started really getting into beats, an stuff after I joined this lil forum on the net, and they had Hip Hop discussion. It was then that I discovered Underground Rap, an I learned alot of Rap itself that I never knew. I started Producing, cause one day I was bored as hell, an didn't feel like doing my Homework at all. So I did a little research, an copped FL Studio 5 Demo. I started experimenting, and after a few months of messing around with the demo, I knew what I was doing. Shoot, I even made a couple of dope ass beats with the Demo. So I copped FL5 Producer Edition... I kept at it for a few months. Than I discovered Sampling, an I copped Adobe Audition... My Production game hit hard times about 5 months ago. My old computer Crashed, an broke, The HDD to it had over 2,000 samples, an ALL my tracks (50+), an Programs I used. I had to wait 2 more months to get another Computer, an the wait was excruitiating. To kill time I copped a Double Deck tape player from GoodWill, an started Sampling, hoping that I would get my new PC... After 2 months, I finally did.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No, I prefer to work alone, in a quiet environment. The closest I come to Collabing, or being "live" is when im in sessions with my homies. Even when im doing that, we will get a melody or something, I will STILL go back home, an isolate myself, an work on the track.
