I really have no musical talent. Can't play guitar or drums or anything like that... haven't really taken the time to learn, although I will soon. But I can play the radio..! Anyway, when I throw a mix together, I just make what sounds good to me... simply so I enjoy it.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Not really any history... The movies "Mortal Kombat" and "Hackers" were big influences. Halcyon+on+on by Orbital was what got me into techno. My home life was pretty hectic and that song mellowed me out. It was great to just let my mind drift off into my headphones, like a drug that wasn't bad for me. That was back when "Mortal Kombat" first came out... after that and "Hackers" I didn't really pay much attention to techno until I was 16 or 17. Between "Mortal Kombat" and 17, I was discovering all kinds of rock and metal. Then I started listening to a bunch of techno for a while (over the course of a few months), found some mixing software and sort of jumped in blindly. I got into mixing in mid 2001 when I found a MixMan program demo (http://www.mixman.com) on http://www.hitsquad.com. It let you save up to 3 mixes and came with a limited amount of samples. I made my first mix (entitled My First Mix and was 1 minute and 19 seconds long). It saved in RealAudio format because thats what MixMan Radio reads. Nearly everyone who listened to it on MM Radio said they liked it and I did a good job on my first attempt and should continue mixing (I was surprised that I was recieving compliments from some of the veterans up there). But that didn't happen due to lack of employment and fundage.
I hope to throw a CD together of some original stuff within the next year (2006). That would be great.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Nope... wait... the radio..?
Your musical influences
I love all kinds of music... more specifically but not limited to: all kinds of rock, metal, hardcore, techno, some classical, little rap... I love turntables, I love the sounds and scratches and and and... stuff.
What equipment do you use?
My computer, Dance eJay 6. http://www.ejay.co.uk/artist/pyr0matik
I also like MixMan and Fruity Loops and various beat creation programs.
Anything else?
Do you want to know what my body is? My body is the same as the whole earth.
Do you want to know what my mind is? My mind is the same as space itself.
Do you want to know what my vision is? I see there is nothing to see.
Do you want to know what I hear? I hear the unheard.
Since I have been seeing and hearing, why then do I speak of the unheard? "If you listen with your ears, after all you cannot understand; when you hear through your eyes, only then will you know."
