Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes I do, I have done shows at many hip hop clubs/events/venues throughout Los Angeles over the years and still continue to when time permits for me. My special moment has to be on September 10th, 2005 on Hill Street and Jefferson in Los Angeles..Willmatic, Triple Ace and I performing on the same stage as a act that also had KRS-1, Rass Kass, Dead Prez..This was a show my peoplez @ ThaFormula.com promoted and tha police shut it down before Dead Prez was about 2 hit the stage. That night will always be a special moment for me..it's history, being on that stage performing our jointz in front of a sold out venue, people were trying to get in through out the night before the police shut it down yo. There were close to 2,000 headz up in tha house that night.
Another moment..Being at a after hours club that had the Godfather of Hip Hop on the 1's & 2's, Afrika Bambaataa who was rockin on my vestax mixer and rocked for over 3 hours, spinnin' jointz after jointz and kept the dance floor movin' the whole time. Do Zulu's run this mutha?..Hell yeah!
Your musical influences
Influences just comes from the world of ARTS. If an artist(s) is gifted and talented in music, writing, theatre, etc..I'm going to respect your ART and become a serious supporter of your works.
What equipment do you use?
I use the Akai MPC-60II, 2 Technics Turntables(1200's) my Vestax mixer and a sound library of over 5,000 LP's
Anything else?
2 those who are doing ART, keep striving for yours and you will see results in due time. PEACE.
