DJ Koopa
DJ/Producer - mainly dance based. House, garage and trance especially. On the DJ side of things I'm resident of a R&B Hip-Hop club so mainly urban, although I still spin house and trance when I get the chance.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started making my own music when I was about 13, and then after being inspired by DJ EZs Pure Garage Album in 2000 I decided he wanted to be a DJ.
I went out to Magaluf in 2004 and have worked all along the strip. This has included nights at Poco Locos, BCM cafe, and Club XES, and residencies at BCM Square (Coyote Ugly and Walkabout), Linekers Bar and Alexs R&B - possibly the most well known and respected bar in Magaluf.
Now looking on to summer 2008 starting with a new residency at Tokio Joes - Majorca's biggest and best urban club, and along with DJ's Essence and Knuckles our own promotion - What The FUNK!
During my winters in London I've had weekly slots on Tease, Image, Evolution and UrbanBreaks FM.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, been DJ'ing in Magaluf since 2004. Lots of special moments probably the most special was the test run of our own promotion What The Funk. Was a massive success and a dream come true!
Your musical influences
My first influce was DJ EZ after I bought Pure Garage back in 2000. I heard him mix and I thought "I want to be able to do that".
I'm also heavily influenced by house/trance music around the same time.

Just got Sonar 7 Producer Edition so I need to learn that, Acid Pro 6 and Adobe Audition 3. M-Audio Axiom-49 Midi Keyboard.
