DJ Clayrify
Not really a band... Just a guy operating out of a small room in his apartment. Many of my old tracks are just the result of me playing around with my software, but when I make a serious track, you'll know it. I have a sweet drum-n-bass remix in the works, but until I sort out all the legal stuff, you can enjoy some of my old house tracks that I'll be posting here as I find them (yes, I'm that disorganized).
What equipment do you use?
I use Acid Pro 4, SoundForge and Goldwave for track mixing and tweaking... FruityLoops and ModPlug for creating beats. I can also use my Numark TT1650 turntable to create scratch sounds.
Anything else?
If I ever do become a true DJ that performs at clubs, I don't think I could handle having an MC. The way I'm practicing my spinning, I really have to pay attention to the songs playing... and someone shouting rhymes over it would really distract me. But that's just me.
