dj arise
I am dj arise and I am a skratch dj. I'm not in a band but if i were I guess my band would consist of my tables my mixer and of course myself.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I just got bored one day and picked up on skratching. Some people, like myself find happiness in the strangest of places, in a lonely room, on the groove of a record, on the tip of a needle.
(yeah, that is sort of a rip off of a line on the movie Quills)
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play live all the time in my apartment. I like it there its pretty cool, small crowd (mostly just me).
Your musical influences
Turntablist everywhere, Qbert, ISP, MixMasterMike, Roc Raida, Primus, Buckethead, Portishead, Grandmixer DST, All dj's or anyone who is really good at what they do.
