Hello, and welcome to "The Vault" as I like to call it. This is all my earlier stuff spanning back to my first album, ever. As the name of the page reads "DJ Acid Trip", I just want to inform everyone I do not go by that name anymore, and if you want to hear me new and improved music, check me out at (WWW.SOUNDCLICK.COM/ASTROIDANDY). I'm not entirely proud of all this music, and to be honest, a lot of it I want to forget. But IBand/artist history
This is my history, everything on this page, from the over-the-top song count to the piles upon piles of throw away songs. I came into this page today to tear it down and throw it all away, but I just can't bring myself to do it.
To really begin, we have to go a few years back. Back before I wanted to make electronic music, and for some reason, I thought I could rap. It's embarrassing now looking back on it, but this happened in the final death rattles of my failed "rapping" career. I had bought some recording software so I could make and produce my own songs and beats at a used book store. The software was garbage by todays standards, but at the time, I was overwhelmed. It had tons of synths and drum machines for all kinds of genres such as house, hip hop, jazz, trance, rock, 80's, salsa, and techno along with some other cool little tools. So one night (New Years Eve of 2004) I started playing around with some of it, and somehow, I blended everything into one song, a 3:00+ odd array of sounds I dubbed "Tha Acid Trip". At first listen, I was in love. Today, I think the song is a huge failure, and I don't know how it sparked all this music on here. I was signed to a net label at the time as a comedian for my talk (more like screaming nonsensical streaming word play) show "The Andy Show", and had made a few appearances on my friend/owner of the net label, Lil Blindside's songs. So that night I sent him my newly found sound, and he liked it (well, I think it was just friendly support). So I grabbed a new name, taking the name from the song I just made, and out came DJ Acid Trip. The next day I made 2 new songs, The Runaway and Strange Places. Two weeks later this weird, experimental, massively ADD album "Tha Acid Trip" was complete. So from then on I threw away all ambitions of being America's Next White Rapper and became all and all DJ Acid Trip.
I didn't feel like I really defined my sound until I hit my 3rd album, and even then, I didn't feel like I perfected it until I re-released "Insanity Meter:Full [Special Edition]"

Thank you so much for giving my music a chance. I hope this helps you out more than it helped me.
