Dizkord is an extreme metal band from Southern California. Their sound is brutal and fast and could be best described as an amalgamation of death and heavy metal. Dizkord is Nick Cook (lead vocals), Robert Elliott (guitars), Kenny Lockwood (bass), and Chad Chavez (drums). Having played numerous shows in and around Hollywood and Southern California with national and local acts, Dizkord is rapidly gaining fans with an aural assault that is not soon forgotten.
Band/artist history
Dizkord was formed in 1999 by cousins Robert Elliott (guitar) and Kenny Lockwood (bass). Due to musical differences, Dizkord underwent several line up changes in the course of two years, until 2001 when they arrived at the current line up with the addition of Chad Chavez (drums) and Nick Cook (lead vocals). They have recorded and released three self produced demos that were released in February 2002, March 2003, and March 2004. In September 2003, Dizkord played a packed show at the Whisky-a-go-go in Hollywood with metal icons Strapping Young Lad. Dizkord continues to play shows in Southern California seeking to solidify their place as one of the best metal bands around.

Hey, you guys are not bad at all. Not quite what I expected, but nonetheless good. Your singer is great, you can actually understand what he's saying, and it brutal at the same time. Keep it up.
