Divine Law aka DVL
Divine Law is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She is the youngest of nine children, whose father barely survived during the segregation and race wars of the 60s. The struggles her family faced colored her very expressive style of rap that she delivers with heartfelt lyrics and beats. In 2005 Divine participated in the reality television show R U the Girl featuring T-Boz and Chilli, but due to prior commitments she had to remove herself from the competition. That is, not before becoming one of the top two contestants from Atlanta. Today Divine attributes her inspiration to her family, current issues, and a desire to share her personal view. Greats such as Missy Elliot, TLC, Luda, Uncle Luke, 69 Boys, and Lil Kim have given her continued enthusiasm to develop her craft, while reaching out to her fans. The heart of down south is here. Anyone looking for honest, raw, thought provoking verses is drawn to Divine. To see her perform live is an experience you will not soon forget. Be prepared to learn her Divine Law.
