Distorted Sound Sadists has come a long way from being the garage punk band in 94 to the Synthpunk Industrial bastards of today. The lineup has evolved, the sound has evolved, but one thing hasn't...A complete and total disrespect for how it should be. Welcome to the Synthpunk revolution...grab a beer, chug, and start the war.
Band/artist history
Distorted Sound Sadists formed in 1995 as an assault on the perceptions of what constitutes a punk band. We replaced drummers with metal objects and machines. We replaced bass players with synth keyboards, and we mocked our own existence at shows. Almost 10 years later some things have changed. The lineup is kept simple with only 2 keyboardists who also play guitar. We no longer mock our own existence, but merely hint at the problems inside the music/youth culture industry of today. We won't pull the pop culture line of "we take influence from all types of music to create something that is our own." Instead I will say that DSS makes sound and arranges sound in a way that we like it to create the atmosphere we want to be in. The music we are know doing can only be described as Synthpunk. There is nothing much really to say in these spots but verbal masturbation and self promotion. Listen to the music, that is what the band is about. BUY A CD TOO, by emailing any of us.
