Take four experienced musicians with a talent for writing, recording and performing original music, add a generous helping of integrity, mix with a real passion for playing “old school” rock n’ roll with a modern twist, and you might end up with something that sounds like DISSONANT.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Unhappy with the musical situations of their past and the current “Pop” offerings of the modern music industry, each member of DISSONANT had a definite vision for what they felt good rock n’ roll music should be. With this vision permanently fixed in their heads, the search was on for like-minded band mates.
Although their individual, regional searches turned up many interested musicians, it took well over a year before the current, permanent line-up was in place. Now, with Tony Ruiz on guitars, J. Patrick Langan on vocals, Matt Sharpless on bass, and Greg Owens on drums, the vision has been realized.
Drawing on many various influences, from Fugazi to Black Sabbath - Tool to Ministry, DISSONANT approaches all aspects of their music with the same passion they have fostered since they first started playing. Driven by an intense will to succeed, DISSONANT offers their own unique, mature brand of rock n’ roll, featuring carefully written songs and high-energy live shows.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play anywhere and everywhere we can. Outdoor festivals, fairs and showcases are our favorite gigs.

Fugazi, Tool, Ministry, James Brown, Clutch, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Soundgarden, Pink Floyd, Rage Against The Machine, Smashing Pumpkins (Gish).
