thanks for the comment, i hear where you're coming from. there's a lot of really offensive hip hop, especially in the mainstream, and it spawns legions of imitators.
my point is simply that "secular hip hop" is not intrinsically immoral, and to see a person like Dillon Chase shameless promote themselves while condemning all so-called secular hip hop in one sweeping generalization makes me think it's nothing but hypocrisy.
the other issue is, no one has a license or exclusive on spiritualism, and artists can praise God with their talent without making overt references in their songs. that's not to say there's anything wrong with songs about God.
i feel what you're saying though, especially about what we feed ourselves, musically and spiritually. i like that mcdonald's vs organic food comparison, it's apt for a conversation like this.
