Misanthropic Blackened Metal Of Death And Doom!Band/artist history
Diet ov Worms was founded in 1996 as Fetid Scum. The original members of the band were M (guitars & bass), Yanthor (vocals) and Wargecko (drums & guitars). The band originally played punk- and noise-influenced grindcore before switching over to blackened death metal. In 1997, the band changed its name to Primeval Dusk. The band recorded raw sounding demos which were distributed to a close network of friends and metalheads from different parts of the world (ie, Australia and Argentina). In 1999, the band, in its incarnation as Primeval Dusk, went on a long hiatus.
In December 2005, the original founding member, M, decided to revive the band and adopt a new moniker, Diet ov Worms. After a year of extensive and intensive search for suitable musicians, M would eventually meet guitarist Morgul Trithemius Trismegistus and drummer Daimon Mordor Uzumaki. Together, the trio formed the first incarnation of Diet Ov Worms under the new moniker.
After recording a few instrumentals, the trio realized the need to recruit a vocalist as soon as possible. Morgul and Daimon contacted their brethren, Ar-Pharazôn E. Elkindus, and convinced him to join Diet Ov Worms. Another guitarist, Theyn Geber Rhazes, was also brought in to provide leads for the songs.
Founding member, M's participation in Diet Ov Worms would eventually end in the third quarter of 2007. He decided to step aside from playing duties because of his other commitments. However, he is still playing an important role in determining the musical direction of Diet Ov Worms, as well as taking part in the composition, arrangement and production of their songs. He will aslo act as the Diet Ov Worms' representative and spokeperson since most of the band members have sociopathic tendencies and a strong aversion towards dealing with fellow human beings.
As a replacement to M, another fellow kinsman, Angmar A. Hellious, was called to duty. However, due to growing rifts over belief systems caused the acrimonious departure of Angmar A. Hellious from Diet Ov Worms at the start of 2008. He was replaced as a bass player for the kvlt by Amon Avempace. With this new line-up, the KVLT of Diet Ov Worms promises that these blackened hearts will wreak more havoc on Earth and heap more misery on its pathetic dwellers!Have you performed in front of an audience?We used to play for the dead. In an abandoned graveyard. It was chillingly inspiring.
