Brit Pop

I'm a one-man acoustic show featuring furious guitar playing, passionate vocals and lyrics to make you think (well, sometimes). "Frenetic one-man acoustic gorgeosity" they call it.
Band/artist history
I started back in the nineties playing in a band called (records still available, kids!) and when, after 7 years of fantastic low-key success, we split, I started to do the odd solo support slot for friends' bands and I've kept it up ever since. and we also play a couple of more updated, full-band versions of songs available here. , an alter-ego of mine who remixes anything and everything (including my songs!)
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I love to play live and will do so wherever, whenever, for whoever is willing to lend me their ears! I like playing support for good bands.
Your musical influences
Mozart, Killing Joke, Nick Drake, The Specials, Star Wars (yes, the film!), John Otway, The Beatles, Jane's Addiction, The Wonder Stuff, my dad, Culture Shock/Citizen Fish, The Clash, Dvorak, The Smiths, The Smashing Pumpkins, you name it, if it's good - I'm influenced by it...
What equipment do you use?
I used to use a battered old Hohner 6-string electro-acoustic (except the electro bit doesn't work any more) but I recently forked out for a new Ashton , and very nice it is too! I also use an acoustic bass converted from an old 6-string jumbo, an egg and a friend's didgeridoo. Oh, and Jim Dunlop 0.73mm nylon plectrums... the best that money can buy:-)
Anything else?
All the tracks here were recorded on my PC home studio, with Cubase LE4 and a Lexicon Alpha audio interface.
