Ladies and Gentlemen... we are Devilcake from Columbus, Ohio...
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Fall 1991, Evil Bread replaces a guitarist with nine other people, most non-musicians. Thirteen headed jazz funk groove death metal Zorn/jam hydra with four guitarists, two keyboardists, two bassists, one drummer, one vocalist, one sax, one accordion and some girl we just met playing the African flute. No, that's not a euphemism.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Ravari Room, Bernie's, Little Bros, Ruby Tuesday, Stache's, High Five, Germain Amphitheater, Newport and a place in Dayton with mirrors all over the walls.
Your musical influences
Gourley was into food lyrics before anyone. When everyone else was still punk rocking about social injustice, Gourley (and his band the Virgin Dingleberry Dispensers) had "She Makes Good Cookies." And "Stung by a Bee."
What equipment do you use?
Nothing out of the ordinary. It's HOW we use it that counts. Whatever that means.
Anything else?
No one reads this crap except me in five years.
