Ever wonder what would happen, if you mix a determined young female singer, good looks, strong vocals, a bubbling personality and a song writer? The finished product would most likely resemble Desiree. This 16-year-old beauty from Brooklyn, New York has her mind set on making it to center stage. Not only will she give it her all to reach success, but she is ready to sacrifice in order to make it to the top. Her mother, who is Desirees driving force, supports her 100% and is right by her side, guiding her through the journey.
Her name broken down is Desire w/ an extra E, explaining she has the aspirations of becoming an influential singer and more to the Industry. Singing is not considered her hobby but her passion which she takes seriously. You can ask anyone in her school whats the first thing they think of when they hear the name Desiree? They will automatically say singing. All she wanted to do since 5 was sing. Being young you have to be really dedicated to doing it for yourself," says Desiree. Desiree cites artists like Mary J. Blige, Patti LaBelle, Anita Baker, Brandy, Beyonce and Aaliyah as inspirations. "There are a lot of trials and tribulations you have to go through to get what you want, especially if you feel like it belongs to you.
Desiree is managed by Anthony Sistrunk, CEO of Hush Hush Entertainment. She has been recording at Star Dome Entertainment in East Orange NJ. The CEO, Shawn Hunter, of Star Dome Entertainment has a staff that has been taking a personal interest in the enhancement of Desirees music, writing and placement of lyrics. Wyclef Jean, Producer Jerry Wonder, DJ Lazy K, Producer Shea Taylor and Producer 88 Keyz are just a few of the people that have their hands in the growth of Desiree.
In the next five years, there are many options Desiree would like to pursue besides becoming a singer and a platinum artist; she would like to take part in learning and allowing her talent to excel in different directions in the music Industry.
