Depoo is an alternative rock band from Estonia. We have 5 members:
Ivar - drums
Kaspar - bass
Kene - vocals
Timmo - guitar
Paul - guitar
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Depoo started in the year 2001, when Paul and Ivar decided to start a band. Neither of them had any skills or experience.
We have had many members, but the current formation started working in the autumn of 2003 with the addition of the second guitar player Timmo. Kene had joined a year earlier and Kaspar somewhere in the beginning of 2002.
Our first live performance took place in the spring of 2003.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We do play live. We have had about 10 live shows. That's not much but there is more coming. We have mostly played in our town's so-called "drinking concerts". The concept of drinking concerts is very simple: you get a bunch of bands that make a lot of noise, and lots of alcohol. The outcome may not be much of a musical event, but it can be fun...
We enjoy our concerts when everithing goes right, unfortunately, it almost never does.
Your musical influences
Well, each member has his or her own influences, most of us listen to anything. The band altogether has had influences from bands like Tool, Muse, Radiohead... but we don't really sound like any of them.
