Yeah, it has been a while.
I sort of wandered into the community forums and then stumbled into a computer game music battle that was just starting. Being an impulsive and highly random kind of guy, I immediately signed up for the battle having absolutely no idea how it worked nor having ever really tried writing computer game music before.
But I couldn't resist it because of the brilliant idea that we were supposed to make old 8-bit 1980s computer music using only 4 sounds on 4 tracks. You know, normally the idea is to make the best quality song you can but this nuts battle had it backwards and you were supposed to make it sound as "lo-fi" and "retro" as you could.
It was a clever idea for a battle because then everyone was working to the same basic level and it became a pure song-writing contest. One week writing the songs and then one week where everyone on the forum voted (split into pairs with one person in each pair going onto the next round).

After receiving a few criticisms that the original sound quality on my "Hiroshima" track was rather poor, I've dug up the original sound files and remastered the track with a far cleaner and hopefully much improved sound quality. Not actually a new track but an old track revisited in a new way. Just thought I'd let you know, in case you were interested.

Came by on a recomendation of Rod has a tribute song on his site to you. Not fond of the acoustic but thats just me but your metal is great I think Lifeline is my favorite you are real tight with it. Drums seem to be working well. Great riffs. Keep up the great work. Will be back for more. Putting Lifeline on my station

I downloaded State of Mind from your email yesterday morning and was going to listen today. I'm still going to take it off this dinasour and play it in the studio.
I like where you're going, the different moods are a good choice. I think Rod is influencing you a bit!? Very well done L.W. I hope You and Nina are still coming up with ideas, cause, you're making giant steps!

You are getting pretty good at the recording process huh? VERY cool stuff on State of Mind! Of course I'm trying to listen to it again but I can't (thank you Soundclick) but this is another one I'll be listening to for days I'm sure. I loved it.
