Technical Death Metal band from Murcia(SPAIN)
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
DEMISED were formed in 1997. First line-up was Andres (Guitar/Vocals), Adrian (Durms) and Ramon (Bass).
A few months later, Julian (guitar) joined the band, and in 1998, we recorded our first 4 track demo named "PANTHALASA".
After the recording, Ramon left the band and Victor (from AMALTHEA (doom metal)) inmediatly joined us.
Next year (1999), we recorded "BETWEEN THE ASHES & THE SILENCE" (MCD with 7 tracks). After that, unfortunately, we had to stop playing, due to lack of places to practise here in Murcia.
Since 2000, we left the band on "stand-by" until 2005. Now, we're back, but this time with Alex (HOLE OF MANKIND, VROLOK DAGON..) replacing Julian on guitar.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Of course, in bars, contests, metal festivals... But it's a hard job because, unfortunately, this kind of music is usually not welcomed.
Your musical influences
Our main influences are those "classics" of death metal (DEATH, OBITUARY, MORGOTH...)and melodic/swedish death metal bands like DARK TRANQUILLITY, IN FLAMES...
In addition, secondary influences could be METALLICA, SEPULTURA, SLAYER and all of those bands which introduced us in the world of metal.
