Harlequin started of with Shaylin Kallie(Lead Guitar),Ash Kallie(Drums) and Wayne Stuart(Rythm Guitar/Vocals),playing gigs at various school events and parties.During May 2005,Jay Schonken left his current band Hypnotic Fusion and joined Harlequin as frontman and brought the name Dementia along with him. the 4piece line-up of Dementia played at various gigs as well as the RP Studios Emerging Sounds Battle Of The Bands. A few months later,after intense song writing they then played at another Battle Of The Bands and were thereafter offered the opportunity to record a demo with a local studio. But then went on to record a live demo with BizAc studios. In December 2005,Wayne left the band and was replaced by Ettienne Schonken. In that same month Mark Allen joined the band as bass player and Dementia was finally complete.Have you performed in front of an audience?Our live gigs are usually at parties,or clubs. The main thing we like about playing live is the energy we get from the crowd chanting our name. We love connecting with the crowd,giving them the urge to destroy and go fuckin ape shit.
