Defy is a promising, young, industrial alt. rock outfit out of the Oxford, MS / Memphis, TN area. A merge of honest lyrics, melodic sensibility, and fusion of aggressive crunch and lush soundscape- the result is something completely unique and never heard before.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
All songs are written, arranged, recorded, performed, produced, engineered, and mixed by 18-year-old Avi Ghosh. Formed in mid 2000, the independent project/band is based out of Oxford, MS. The band released their debut album, "All Because Of You," on January 18th, 2003, toured in support of the release and recently re-entered the studio to record the follow-up "The Twelve Degrees Of Loneliness."
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
The band is currently in the recording studio finishing up their second-full length album and following the release up with a projected regional tour in spring 2004.
