Band/artist history
Well here is a brief history: Sam and I met in high school in Irving back in 1997 and started playing in a band together. After that band (Babyfishmouth) broke up, we continued to play together and develop songs that we really loved. We decided that we would form a band, and tried to find others to play with, but have never found anyone who stuck around. We continued on as a duo and recorded an album of eleven songs entitled The Soundtrack for Your Life in the spring of 1998. I soon moved to Austin but we kept the band going. We recorded a couple more songs in the spring of 1999 (Blue Tape EP). I studied audio production in Austin and was given access to a studio where we recorded the Physical Kitten in the summer of 2000. Since that time we have begun recording most of our stuff using computers. We've compiled another EP entitled Strange and Unexplained Phenomena and are now working on a new album. Have you performed in front of an audience?
When we can, we play live and we love it. The advantage to the live show is the spontinaity of it all and the chance to present the songs in new ways as opposed to just playing the CD. -sam- Hopefully we will have more opportunities for live shows in the future. We hope to incorporate more musicians to afford a thicker live sound than just the two of us could make. -brent-
Your musical influences
Oh god we listen to everything... I think its important to have a huge base to draw from. -sam-
What equipment do you use?
We will use just about any equipement we can get our hands on, including instruments we don't really know how to play.
