Death To All (DTA)
Death To All (DTA)
Andrew del Castillo aka DTA began his rap career with a group known as The Colleagz with partners, Patrick Noriega aka P and Arturo Ruvalcaba aka Spoons. Known for their completely different styles, they became sort of a wonder, especially in the Excelsior district of San Francisco, where they are from. Lacking the funds for an official debut, they each came up with their own capitalist movement. Andrew del Castillo aka DTA established Table 10 Records/DTA Productions, his own label. See, what I didn't tell you readers is Andrew del Castillo was a fabulous musician, playing the drums, guitar, piano, clarinet, timpani, trumpet, bass guitar, and tuba. With this musical talent, Andrew del Castillo was on his way to success. He began producing and selling beats to fellow artists and that is how he began making money. He is also a very bright businessman. knowing that he did not have all of the necessary funds, his Table 10 Records/DTA Productions crew, all helped out with the success. He had 10 co-workers including himself, who were able to market, distribute, and promote The Colleagz. DTA is now working on a solo album that is scheduled to drop in the next 7 months. Also, thanks to Ryan Frias aka Emmackulate of the Not Your Average Superheroes and lead singer Matt Cabuloy for helping DTA step off on the right foot. Much Love. Now Table 10 Records/DTA Productions is successful, signing 3 new artists to the label. For any artist out there, you all are welcomed to the Table. R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul. I got it all.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, I've performed at San Francisco State University, San Jose State University, and many open mics here in the city. I love performing because I love the feeling of people who actually appreciate music (Hyphy is not considered music to me). I'm just a real lyricist. A special moment that I can recall is everytime I get on stage and all eyes are on me, unbeatable.
