Death AfterLife
Death AfterLife
Death AfterLife is a professionally-minded and goal-orientated heavy metal band. Utilizing their Southeast Georgia-based location the band has expertly blended elements of their rural surroundings with lessons they learned from pioneering bands in the metal genre such as Pantera, Slayer, Iron Maiden, and Sepultura into a style of music they proudly call “Southern Death Swamp Metal.”
Death AfterLife, though unsigned, has implemented a work ethic that rivals those of their signed counterparts. In 2005 the band built a recording studio and wrote, produced, and recorded their freshmen release “Southern Death Swamp Metal.” This ten track album has received radio airplay in the band’s local area, the Nashville market, and on countless college stations throughout the United States.
Death AfterLife’s main objective has been to do as much as possible for themselves before turning to others. In addition to recording their own music the band also designs their own artwork, maintains their own website, and books their own shows. This “help yourself before anyone else will help you” attitude has played a key role in separating these four southern boys from the typical garage band of the day.
Crowned champions of the 2005 Solid Rock 107.7 Battle of The Bands, the members of Death AfterLife have established themselves as one of the premier acts of their region. Venue owners, radio disc jockeys, fans, and other bands alike agree that when Death AfterLife takes the stage you can feel static in the air and you just know you are about to experience something special.
