Dead City Sunday is not your typical big city rock band. Instead, they’ve emerged from the “dead city” of Auburn, a small town in Northern California, where on Sunday’s no shops are open. In this sleepy town, the music scene is silent. However, Dead City Sunday has peaked out of hiding and demands to be heard. Working as a close-knit fellowship, they individually create a unique breed of sound. Female drummer, Kimberly Brothers steps up for the ladies and takes a stand for female musicians. Serving as Kimberly’s right hand man, Nic Musser’s baselines take strong hold of the rhythm section as both Nik (Junior) Brothers, and Ronny Wiedeman elevate guitar harmony. On vocals, Zac Day switches from hardcore screams to melodic undertones to add the twisted flavor of Dead City Sunday. With their uniquely measured sound highly influenced by Deftones, Coheed & Cambria, and Glassjaw, their music speaks for itself. Mixed with hardcore elevations, melodic whispers, and heavy breaks, their small town voice speaks louder than ever!
Recently, Dead City Sunday switched management, and as a result, they are currently signed to Backside Recordsand are currently working on their first professional full-length album due out sometime in early 2005.racheal22's station
