THE CREATOR OF THIS MUSIC DEREK COCHRAN FIRST STARTED WRITING MUSIC BACK IN 1975.
HE HAS WRITTEN MUSIC FROM COUNTRY, EASY LISTENING, ALTERNATIVE AND ROCK.
HE HAS ALSO WRITTEN MUSIC FOR VANESSA MARIA FOR HER COUNTRY ALBUM "PURE MAGIC" RELEASE IN 1990.
DEREK COCHRAN WAS BORN November 11, 1961 AT PARKERSBURG, WV USA.
GROWING UP IN A FAMILY OF MUSICIANS, DEREK WAS NO STRANGER TO MUSIC.
HE FIRST STARTED PLAYING THE BASS IN THE FAMILY BAND.
AT THE AGE OF 13, HE STARTED TAKING PIANO LESSONS AND AT THE AGE OF 15 COMPOSED HIS FIRST PIECE OF MUSIC, WHICH HE PREFORMED LIVE IN CONCERT, ON A PIANO, WHICH THE FAMOUS LIBERARCHIE HAD ONCE PLAYED.

Have you performed in front of an audience?
I have done some live shows but I don't like them. Live shows just dosn't sound as good.
Your musical influences
My musical influences have been the Beatles, Jeff Lynne-ELO, Eric Burden-Animals, and most of all my father.
What equipment do you use?
I use a Korg keyboard with a Yamaha as a 2nd. Play a Washborn Bass and my faverate, a 1960's Kalamazoo Bass.
