Day Of Rising

We are a Spanish band which have moved to London to try and make ourselves a name in the global music scene
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Day Of Rising formed in the year 2000 in Castellón, Spain, with the sole intention of escaping from boredom. In their first three years of existence, in which they had some name and line-up changes, the members of Day Of Rising spent their time rehearsing constantly and playing small local shows. In March 2003 Day Of Rising started to take off as a more serious project as their live performances started to increase, having the opportunity to support international rock bands such as Brandtson, Cobolt, Elliot and Last Days Of April. At the end of the same year the band entered the studio for the first time and their three song EP Bring Us Back 7am came as a result. During 2004 they played numerous dates all around the country, being greatly appreciated by the crowds. At the same time their EP was received extremely well, attracting great response from the public as well as overwhelming reviews from websites and important Spanish rock magazines such as Rockzone and Mondosonoro. In May 2005, Day Of Rising had the opportunity to play their most important shows to date, a five date tour supporting US band Further Seems Forever. In December, the band entered the studio to record a 7-track EP with producer Santi Garcia (Favez, The Unfinished Sympathy) and had the privilege of being invited by MTV to play an acoustic set. At the beginning of 2006, with more than a hundred gigs under their belt, the band moved to London, UK to pursue more opportunities with their music and to try to make themselves a name in the UK rock scene.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Wherever, Whenever, Whoever for. We love it. The Tour we did supporting Further Seems Forever in Spain has been the greatest live experience till date
Your musical influences
Melodic vocal harmonies mixed up with powerful guitar combinations, all driven through hard-hitting drums and solid bass lines... in other words: this description may sound like ANY other band, but let your ears tell you! To name some bands we love: Biffy Clyro, Foo Fighters, Silverchair, Jimmy Eat World, Goo Goo Dolls...
