Dawn's Darkness is a highly eclectic, original indie pop/rock project featuring both male (Dors Ward) and female (Jordana Kocher) lead vocals, founded in September 2007. The three songs featured in this first demo are penned by Jordana, but all the members of the band are lyricists or composers and much co-writing is expected in the future. We will be building our repertoire considerably with original songs spanning the genre of rock. Expect to hear everything from alt-rock and blues to epic rock and power ballads. We are currently searching for the right person to replace our talented lead guitarist, Erik Burch, as he must unfortunately return to Iraq with the National Guard early next year. We are also seeking a rhythm guitarist. Please contact us if interested.
Band/artist history
After modest success (and a #1 hit on the Soundclick.com pop/rock chart) with her previous musical project, , singer-songwriter Jordana Kocher formed Dawn's Darkness, a local band with the goal of performing live shows in the Portland metro area. Their inaugural demo CD, When I Fall, is Jordana's first attempt at production, recording, and mixing and has been a wonderful learning experience. The other band members are: Dors - Male lead vocals Erik - Guitar/backup vocals Rollie - Bass Troy - Drums
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We are based in Vancouver, Washington, just north of Portland, Oregon. As soon as we have rounded out our lineup, we will be preparing to perform live gigs regularly in the Portland metro area; we hope to release a full album by late 2008.
