David T Baker

I've been a music lover my whole life but it really got serious at age 14 when my parents bought me an electric guitar. I started taking lessons, I joined a band, and there was no turning back. I played with others through high school and into college, at which point I broke off on my own and have been going this way ever since. As a teenager, I just wanted to be a rock star. Now, I just want to make music. Thankfully, you don't have to be young and pretty (or even all that talented) to do that. You just need to have the desire, and that I do. I spent the first 10+ years of my music career writing introspective songs about myself under the name Painfully Honest. It's occurred to me, however, that there are more important things than myself, and I should start taking a look at them. Ironic, then, that I've decided to go by my given name, but I feel it fits both who I am and what I am trying to do as an artist. I've done quite a lot of work as Painfully Honest, but I'm starting from scratch now as David T. Baker and I have quite a few places around the Internet where I will be sharing my vision: - the hub of my existence -everything I produce will go up here - a diary following my progress - subjecting myself to public scorn - just another place to be seen and heard This is the beginning, not the end. So keep checking back and I'll do my best to make it worth your while.
