David Jackson
Dave Jackson has been playing guitar for over 20 years. He was the only kid in the first grade who knew who Hendrix was when he died. Dave's passion for guitar has lead him to try many areas including Metal, Pop, Country, and Blues (with Blues and Hard Rock being his favorites). Dave takes "recess" from his blues band to return to his "roots" of Hard Rock.
In addition to being a performaing musician, Dave also moderates the Musician's Cyber Cooler." A resource for independant musicians. We focus on Music, Marketing, and Mentoring musicians. He is even authored a book "Get Your Band Out of the Basement (and keep them out of the asylum).
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play in a blues group called the $ugar Daddies in the Northeast ohio area.
Your musical influences
I was born an rasied on Ozzy, Judas Priest, but I also love 80's metal. Throw in some of today's influences (Metallica, Disturbed, NIN). Consequently you end up with driving rythms, and cool harmonies.
What equipment do you use?
Fender and Gibson guitars, Line 6 Amps, Roland Digital Recording Equipment, Alesis Drum Machines.
Anything else?
Come check out the Musician's Cyber Cooler. We currently have 560+ members. We trade band experiences and insights, help each other learn from our mistakes, keep up on the latest promotional ideas, and help each other "keep it together." We now host a battle of the band promotion (get your songs voted on by a global community).
Music, Marketing, and Mentoring.
