Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
David Gonzalez is 29 years old and has been the Performance Arts Coordinator for Broad Street Studio since 2004. David is a writer, emcee, and spoken word artist. His abilities also extend to recording and producing beats. David is originally from Brooklyn, N.Y., and presently resides in East Providence, Rhode Island.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yeah, I have a project called the Rhodeshow. (www.myspace.com/rhodeshow) This is a youth program out of AS220 Broad Street Studio in Providence, RI. We worked on a Hip-Hop Ballet, We performed for Congress, Shared a Stage with Dr. Tricia Rose, Worked with the City to promote youth arts, connect with Youth Movement Records out of Cali, We did alot.

indy artist, AS220, the artist that due slip through the cracks of commerical and get a chance to say something, community, family, Everything my momma use to play when she cleaned. things like that.
What equipment do you use?
Ah, a bunch of software, my MPC, some keyboards, a bunch of different controllers, various mics.
