dave's son

Harmoniously hung in the air of his lungs, Dave's Son was quick to slay the sin of sloth upon his return to San Diego. With a studio maestro's dash and a dulcet crooner's panache, Dave's Son pounded out his debut EP "No Vacancy" in a matter of months and took it to the streets. At first the transition from singular lyrical euphemist to sublime stage performer was difficult. But Dave's Son vowed to stay the course and he soon became a regular at Twiggs, a San Diego home for artists, poets, performers and musical vagabonds. With a few notches on his belt and a growing cadre of fans, Dave's Son has set his sights on nothing less than taking command of every musical appliance you own. So pay attention to the zygot that became an embryo. To the embryo that became a fetus. To the fetus that became a baby. To the baby that became a child. To the child that became a man. To the man who will win your hearts. To the man who will win your musical freedom. (for an explanation, please revisit the movie braveheart.)
Band/artist history
This troubador to the masses did not emerge fully formed from the dark recesses of a guitar case, as popular myth might lead you to believe. No, Dave's Son has a father, a mother, and even a sister. Music was introduced to him at an early age and it wasn't long before this diaper dandy was rooting through his father's record collection, unearthing classics such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Simon and Garfunkel, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, and Leo Kottke. With nothing to do in the suburbs of Southern California, Dave's Son remedied his boredom with repeated listenings of his favorite LPs. It was through this doing nothing but something that he discovered the euphoric high of being consumed by music. "I would just lay there in a complete trance for hours. The Beatles and Sinatra were my favorites, but Elvis and Hendrix were the ass kickers." Fast forward to a newly pubescent Dave's Son. It was springtime and love was in the air. Her name was CF Martin and Dave's Son had never felt this way before. Till death do us part? Through sickness and health? Mere words that reflected only a fraction of the committment that Dave's Son felt for his guitar. With raging musical hormones barely held in check by his budget guitar, Dave's Son started strumming and singing. Fortuitously, he discovered that he could create his own music. School work, friends, cartoons and girls began to fade into the background of his life. Actually, there were never any girls at this point in young Dave's Son's life. But we can pretend. As our symphonic samurai headed off to engage his mightiest foe -- college -- he discovered the path of persistance and the way of the musical warrior. This chemist of the tempo turned his back on a petty financial world filled with suits, mergers, acquisitions, supplies, demands, more demands, shampoo and soap. Vowing to never pick up a calculator or pictorial textbook again, Dave's Son walked off into the cantina sunset with a Herculean task in mind: to make his passion his career.
