Dave Martin
I play a combination of original and cover tunes. I made a living for years as a bass player, now I have regained my amateur status.
My style is a cross between Dan Hicks, Woody Guthrie, and Willis Alan Ramsey. I particularly enjoy the songs of John Townes van Zandt. I also love guitar arrangement of jazz standards and am trying to incorporate some of that feel into my new material.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Dave Martin has performed all over Texas, and in Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona. His style is friendly and listenable.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, house concerts, small locations. I enjoy playing, but don't miss the 6 night a week circuit.
