Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
In March 1997, I decided to learn to play the guitar at the age of sixteen. Like all sixteen year olds, I thought I may be able to make a break for the big time. In September 1998 I decided to backup this up by Learning to play Keyboard. In February 1999 I formed my first band. The band, (Who were named 'the phoenix's') had a rather odd combination of myself on lead guitar, a rhythm guitarists, a keyboard player, a violinist and a drummer. The band were playing songs which I had written. 6 Months later and I had decided that it was time we disbanded, as there was a major lack of commitment from other members. It was at this point I decided to take on a solo project, which eventually became a collabaration with vocalist Paul Pickford, called 'Lost Souls'. this project folded in June 2006, prompting to early release of the self titled EP on my own record label DKS (Dave Kent Music). After that I joined / co-founded local pop-rock band 'Later Date', but just under 12 months later I decided to leave the band for creative reasons, and began to form The Corruption, alongside the collobaration with Sonya Stone
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
There are no plans to play this materiel live, however there are plans to start gigging with the Corruption around the summertime.
