Daughters of Fission

Daughters of Fission is: Jason Prichard: Lead Vocalist & Drummer John Banks: Guitars & Backing Vocals Christopher J. Coons: Bass & Backing Vocals Stephanie Dilk: Keyboards & Synths The music of Daughters of Fission resonates an emotionally driven sound that can alternately breeze in, rupture and roll, and fulminate into eclectic thunderbolts. Collectively, the band members express their beliefs and feelings through the music they create. Their emotional range travels from soothing and gentle to aggressively propulsive.
Band/artist history
Rather than bore you with the nebulous blah blah of where everyone came from and the various fateful streams that culminated in this raging torrent of a band, well just fill you in on recent events. John, Jason, and Chris have been performing together since 2002 but were never really satisfied with the sound. Something was missing. That something was Stephanie Dilk, who joined Daughters of Fission in October of 2004. In January 2005, now infused with the sediment that nourishes the creative soil, the band entered Minds Eye Digital with engineer extraordinaire Larry Elyea and recorded Abandonatomy. Now maybe youve asked yourself, A singing drummer? Or maybe you havent. At any rate, Daughters of Fission employ an unorthodox approach to live setup. The band dispels the myth that a front man walking across the stage is mandatory by placing Jason front and center on the stage. The result is visually as well as audibly stimulating. Audience members who are familiar with DoFs recorded work and then experience the band live are not disappointed.
