SURE SHOT ( Made in Canada)Band/artist history
Sure Shot is Brett Cooper on bass ,Colin Romanick on Drums and Adam Pereira on vocals and guitar .Sure Shot was formed may/2003 after playing a skool show.
At the time of this show Adam and Brett were playing in a differnt band and the drummer of their band wasn't interested in playing the skool show. So Adam and Colin had been jamming together on the side for a couple months . And when this skool show came up Colin and Adam wanted to do it so they asked Brett and it happened. at the time we were called "fast reverse" we played rancid/distillers/op ivy covers.
As time went on this became the new focus leaving the old drummer behind and picking up Colin who proved to be more consistant,commited,and enthusiastic not to mentiont talented.
After the show we didnt play for awhile And after going through a couple style changes ranging from punk,to alternative, we found a serrious interest in reggae and ska music mainly from one band which is obviously "sublime" . Colin and Adam started jamming out sublime tunes and slowly Brett followed along and thats how we got into what we do now.
We have a couple shows under our belt playing with bands like "The Next Best Thing", Glorystroke,The pylons,Bombs over providence, in guelph and waterdown.
We hope to get into the studio soon with luke marshall of The next best thing to record our first cd..Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes we do.. everywhere.. special moments are dance parties in dundas durring our sets..
