DarkLight
DarkLight is the brand new South Carolina based Horrorcore meets Hip/Hop Rap group. DarkLight consists of 2 rappers, CoRoNeR and TaKeR.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
CoRoNeR originally started a rap group called "Colony of Hate", which consisted of 4 members. When the group split, he decided to put out a solo EP (Leader of a Legion) which was pretty successfull in the South Carolina area, and begin to spread into other states. One track on the EP featured his future parter in rhyme, TaKeR. After the somewhat success of his first solo EP, CoRoNeR decided to persue further and make the EP into an LP which was to be titled "The Prophecy." CoRoNeR called TaKeR in to the studio to lay down another track for his LP, when the talk began about forming a group. After a few days of discussion, DarkLight was formed. The LP project was dropped, and work began on the first DarkLight LP which is slated for release Dec. 2001.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, mainly at Ground Zero in Spartanburg, SC. Our CD Release Party will be held there this december. Please E-mail DarkLight for more info.
