Dark Horse were a blues/rock band circa 1990, featuring myself:
Wayne Jefferies - Guitar & vocals.
with
Jim Ward - Bass & Vocals.
Dave Ward - Drums.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
1980.
Began playing electric bass. Joined heavy rock band: 'White Heat'.
1982.
Formed own band 'Dancing Shiva'. ('Space-Rock', a la Hawkwind)
1984
Joined 'Ty Garner's Blues Band'.
1985
Switched from bass guitar to lead guitar.
Joined rock band: 'Stoney Road'.
1987 - 1989.
Concentrated on home recordings. (some of which are listed under 'Shiva's Dance'.
Formed blues/rock band: 'Dark Horse'.
1991
Got in jazz guitar. Formed: 'Swing '91'.
1993
Joined 'Knights of Jazz' & formed 'Django's Tigers'. (both bands ran concurrently)
1996 - Present day.
Formed 'Hot Club'.
The nucleus of this band is:
Wayne Jefferies - Acoustic/Electric Guitar
Paul Johnson - Acoustic Guitar
John Coulson - Double Bass
In 1997, the band was augmented by Matt Palmer on Clarinet & Saxophones, briefly becoming the 'Hot Club of Nottingham'.
In 2000 the band was augmented by Lizzy Ramsay on Violin & Vocals, briefly becoming 'The Swing Club', & i formed a duo with Lizzy Ramsay called 'Jazz Alchemy'.
The current line up features semi-regular member: Mike Turner on clarinet & saxophone.

Your musical influences
Starting off with Heavy Rock. Intial key influence: Led Zeppelin.
Got into more spacey stuff. Main influence: Hawkwind.
Got into blues/rock later; Influences for this incarnation include: Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Winter, Alvin Lee, Gary Moore, Jeff Healy, & Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Eventually got into jazz guitar after hearing main current influence: Django Reinhardt.
