Dark Enchantment
Back in 2001, before all the symphonic metal bands like Nightwish came out, Andy, Sello, Lou and Chiara started the project of an alternative metal band with the goal to reach a new kind of alternative music!
All started with the idea of a sweet female voice set against a growling/screaming voice.
Music, in our mind, should be a compromise of extreme and classic metal, with strong melodies and some progressive influence.
That's how the Dark Enchantment project was born!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Dark Enchantment was a great experiment in alternative metal!
We have been the first band to put together cassic and extreme metal with prog influences.
When the first "gothic" bands, such as Night wish, After Forever and such came out it was already some years we were palying around!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We used to play live, but the band had a shocking breack due to the drummer's injuries in a moto accident.
Andy is tried hardly to bring the band back actually without success, turning the band to a studio project.
