Fun, love-able, honest, loyal and most of all smooth with the ladies, are some qualities you can find in Sonny Pein. Born from Cambodian immigrants, he's heard many stories about their painful journey trying to escape the killings of the Khmer Rouge. Through running through jungles leaping landmines and escaping the heavy rain pour of AK-47 bullets to a dream of new life in Canada, has inspired him and also has him questioning, What is life? What is it trying to tell us? Life growing up for Sonny was hard mainly because of the language barrier. Family issues were hard to discuss and many things were left unsaid. The only way Sonny knew how to react to emotions was to stay quiet. Ever since then, music has been his only way of expression. "When words fail, music speaks". Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I quit my job recently to pursue my passion and my dream. I didn't know what I was thinking at the time but my heart was leading me to another direction.
