Danny Noronha
A singer/songwriter with a decent knack for writing catchy melodies. Unique style on acoustic guitar, big driving rhythm and a very different finger-picking style.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Just a singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who learned to play guitar, understand and write music at a faster than average pace. Within six months of playing guitar, I wrote and recorded my first song, which incidentally, I think is the best one I've ever done.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Don't have alot of experience playing live, just what I thought were some wasted opportunities because I wasn't in control. But I definitely know for sure that I would love it and would take it much more seriously now. I love playing for people and inspiring and moving them.
Your musical influences
I don't have many, believe it or not, actually just the Beatles, and Oasis because they remind me of the Beatles. Beatles were very present in my family, it was just about playing round the clock in my house, and I found them so interesting to listen to, not only the great musicians they were, but they were damn good singers, it's funny, they have received the most credit and recognition of any band in the history of music, yet individually, George Harrison was hardly ever recognized as being the one of the best guitar players in the world, and McCartney was never sought after by any Bass Player Magazines as a feature. I do love and admire Noel Gallagher, I think he's a genius and never gets credit in North America because he's cocky and he backs it up
What equipment do you use?
Fender Acoustic, and my vocal cords
Anything else?
I'll let you know as soon as I know.
