Hey! I'm Dan Mitchell, I've been playing the guitar for around 7 years, keys for 2 and I've recently started to write my own songs. I want to play my own songs in front of people for people who want to listen and have them sing my words. I want to try to cheer people up with my music. 2006 - Playing open mics and singer/songwriter nightsHave you performed in front of an audience?I've played quite a few open mic and singer/songwriter nights, it's the best feeling in the world (when you get over the bone-chilling fear!!) I play on Monday nights at the Royal Oak and on Thursday nights at the Vintners Parrot (both in Worthing) Come down!
Your musical influences
I started playing guitar because of Dire Straits but my favorite band is Muse. I don't sound anything like either though! I would say I sound like David Gray, James Blunt, The Coral, The Feeling and Will Young.What equipment do you use?
It's just me and a guitar, pure and simple. I want to introduce my Theremin into my act aswell though!Anything else?
